For a typical fragment screening project, users provide:
- (frozen) protein
- crystallisation solution
- seeds and other essential reagents (if applicable)
If you want us to run initial refinement and hit finding then we will also need:
- a high-quality, deposition-ready PDB model
Your crystal system should be robust and reproducible (see Crystal requirements). If you are unsure about any of these points, we are happy to advise.
Notes:
- Protein should be aliquoted in volumes of 30–100 µL. The total amount required depends on the crystallisation frequency of your system and the number of compounds you want to screen.
- As a rough guideline, approximately 5 mL of crystallisation solution are required per 96-well plate.
- If possible, please also provide a small amount of protein buffer (i.e. the buffer used for protein storage), as this is included in our initial pH assessment.
