Lund – home to the MAX IV Laboratory – is located in the south of Sweden in the province of Skåne, and has a population of about 128 000 people. Known as the “City of Ideas” it is a place where academia, business, culture and nature thrive within cycling distance from each other. Approximately 18 km southwest of Lund you find Malmö, which is the capital of the province of Skåne and Sweden’s third largest city with a population of around 350 000 people. Along with Copenhagen, Skåne is part of the Öresund region – a highly dynamic area with short commutes to the rest of Europe. The labour market in Lund, Malmö and the Greater Copenhagen area offers a wide range of interesting jobs, in both the private and the public sector.

It is easy to commute to Lund and Malmö from the rest of Skåne, as well as from the Greater Copenhagen area.
