Getting to MAX IV

MAX IV Laboratory is located in the Brunnshög district, in the north-east of Lund. The facility is easy to reach by tram from the city centre, and has connections from Copenhagen Airport by train.

By car

Limited parking is available on site. Follow signs for MAX IV/ESS from the Solbjersvägen roundabout.

Please ask Reception for parking details.

By tram

Line 1 from Lund Centralstation runs to the MAX IV stop. The trams run every 15–20 minutes.
In the rare case of cancelations, look for nearby replacement busses.

By bike

MAX IV is well connected by cycle paths from the city centre. There are also numerous areas for bike parking on the premises.

From Copenhagen Airport (Kastrup)

The closest major international airport is Copenhagen Airport (CPH/Kastrup) in Denmark.

  1. Take the Öresund train from Copenhagen Airport towards Malmö and Lund. The journey to Lund Centralstation takes approximately 35 minutes.
  2. Buy your ticket from the Skånetrafiken ticket machines or at the airport, or through the Skånetrafikken app.
    This ticket is valid for the onward tram to MAX IV.
  3. At Lund C, take Line 1 to the MAX IV stop.

From Malmö Airport

The closest airport in Sweden is Malmö Airport (MMX). Take the Flygbussarna coach from the airport to Malmö Centralstation, then a train to Lund C, and finally Tram 1 to MAX IV.
