MAX IV Laboratory is a highly dynamic and innovative workplace. The variety of experiments and technology leads to a variety of risks to be handled, both conventional and some more specific to synchrotron facilities. Attaining and maintaining a safe work environment for employees, users, contractors, and other visitors is, therefore, a challenge that we must all face together here at MAX IV.
Preventing risk at MAX IV
The risks are local in the sense that they have a limited potential impact outside of the MAX IV facility, comparable to more conventional facilities where, for instance, gas bottles are handled.
Above you will find links to the pages “Safety organisation” and “Safety for staff and contractors” in which you will find the necessary information concerning safety for employees and contractors – studying the information found there is a prerequisite for having personal access to the facility. There is also a link to the page “Safety for users” with general user safety information as well as beamline specific information depending on which beamline a user experiment will be performed at.
