General eligibility requirements for doctoral studies apply to the PRISMAS application process. To be eligible for a PRISMAS research project, you must meet the applicant criteria below.

Applicant eligibility criteria

• Comply with the MSCA mobility rule.

Applicants of all nationalities are eligible​. However, you may not apply if you have resided or carried out your main activity (work, studies, etc.) in Sweden for more than 12 months during the three years immediately preceding the call deadline (in reference to the deadline of the recruiting call on April 30th, 2023), unless as part of a procedure for obtaining refugee status under the Geneva Convention.

• Be a doctoral candidate. 

Applicants cannot already be in possession of a doctoral degree at the deadline of the PRISMAS program’s call. 

• Hold a university degree 

The general entry requirements are a completed second cycle degree or completed courses worth at least 240 credits (of which at least 60 credits in the second cycle). This includes physics, engineering, chemistry, or other topics defined in the specific description for each position. The relevant study programs for each position will be defined according to the requirements of each Implementing Partner University.

• Be available for employment 

Being able to attend at the set start date of the PRISMAS program.

For individual research projects, more specific eligibility criteria could apply.
