The User Meeting 2027 poster session provides an opportunity for participants to share and discuss their latest research findings. The Organizing Committee invites poster submissions featuring recent scientific results obtained from data collected at MAX IV.

The poster session will take place on January 18, after the plenary session from 15:30 to 20:00. The posters will be displayed together but participants under different categories will be asked to be by their posters at different times. Following are the categories:

  1. Electronic Structure & Condensed Matter
  2. Catalysis, Electrochemistry & Surface Chemistry
  3. Materials under Extreme Conditions
  4. Tomography, Imaging & Multiscale Structure
  5. Time-Resolved, Ultrafast reactions, & Dynamics
  6. Structural Biology & Life Sciences
  7. Environmental, Geoscience & Soft Matter
  8. Beamline Instrument and method development
  9. Other

Remember to select the scientific category your poster belongs to in the registration form.

We will attempt to display the competing posters for poster prize through out the User Meeting.

Poster Prize

A poster prize of 8000 SEK will be awarded to one of the posters*. To be eligible, posters must present work conducted by PhD students or postdoctoral researchers, and the presenting author must not be a MAX IV employee.

If you wish to compete for the poster prize, indicate so in the registration form. The posters will be judged by experts among our user community and the winner will be announced during the Plenary Session on Wednesday, 20 January. The winner will be expected to give a talk of 10 minutes in the session.

*The transfer of the prize amount to the winner might take some time depending on administrative processes required.

8 January 2027: Deadline for PDF poster submissions for Best Poster Prize (posters must be registered by 15 December 2026)
