Following the success of a mini-workshop conducted last year, an interactive session on XAS/XES data analysis will be held as a satellite to the MAX IV User Meeting. We welcome all users of Balder beamline, both current and future, who are interested in getting help and feedback from the beamline staff on (but not limited to) the following topics:
- Handling of XAS/XES data measured at Balder
- Basic XANES/EXAFS data treatment and EXAFS Fitting
- ParSeq for XAS and XES analysis
- XHyView for analysis for hyperspectral XAS maps
- Jupyter Notebooks for fast analysis of in-situ data
- Experiment preparation and using XAFSmass
- Beamline capabilities and proposals
The session will be organized at MAX IV (room MAX III, near lunchroom in the main building) before the start of the user meeting. Interested participants are kindly requested to send an email to Mahesh on or before 15th January 2026. You may include any specific requests/questions.
