Continuing the tradition from the past two years, an interactive session on analysis of Balder data will be held as a satellite to the MAX IV User Meeting. We welcome all users of Balder beamline, both current and future. The focus of this year’s session will be on ParSeq, a software package developed by our colleague Konstantin for various types of XAS and XES analysis. Participants should know the basics of XAS/XES and should bring their personal computers with latest version of the software pre-installed to make good use of the hands-on session. Current users are strongly encouraged to use their own data. Future users can use the example data provided with the software package.
Users can also make use of the session to discuss beamline capabilities and future proposals with Balder staff.
The session will be organized at MAX IV (room MAX III, near lunchroom in the main building) before the start of the user meeting. Interested participants are kindly requested to send an email to Mahesh on or before 12th January 2027. You may include any specific requests/questions. More information on the event will be sent out to registered participants by mid-December.
