AI is rapidly changing how research is designed, conducted and validated. This year’s Summit focuses on what that means for major research infrastructures such as ESS, MAX IV and SciLifeLab, and for the HPC, data and AI services that support them.
Together, the Summit will explore how research infrastructures can evolve to enable AI-driven science, how scientific quality, reproducibility and trust can be safeguarded, and what researchers need in order to make effective and responsible use of new AI capabilities. Throughout the day, participants will help map the AI-supported research process, identify responsibilities and gaps, and develop priorities for how research infrastructures, computing and data capabilities need to connect.
The annual ESS/MAX IV/SciLifeLab Summit is organised by the Swedish research Council (Vetenskapsrådet). The Summit will bring together researchers, research infrastructures, HPC and data providers, funders, industry and experts in AI, governance and research integrity to identify the connections, capabilities and priorities that need to be strengthened in Sweden and Europe.
