AutoMAX is an unattended and entirely automated service at the BioMAX beamline. It blends powerful x-ray crystallography with cutting-edge automation to provide users with measurements and data quickly and on-demand.
Users must submit their crystals and a diffraction plan to MAX IV. Once these are received, data collection takes place within one week. Because the data collection is unattended, it’s ideal that the crystals measured at AutoMAX diffract strongly and predictably.
Instead of booking beamtime months in advance, users can send in their crystals according to their needs and receive data quickly.
