Webinar: Explore the ForMAX beamline at MAX IV

Dense green forest with morning fog above.

This fall, the ForMAX beamline at MAX IV will go into operation, opening the door to new research opportunities. You are invited to join a series of free webinars to learn about the beamline and how to get access to the instrument. The first webinar is on September 14th 2022.

The ForMAX instrument at MAX IV is funded by industrial partners of Treesearch (a national platform for research on new materials and speciality chemicals from forest raw material) and the Knut and Alice Wallenberg foundation.

Once operating, the state-of-the-art equipment at ForMAX will allow in-situ multiscale structural characterization from nm to mm length scales, combining full-field tomographic imaging, small- and wide-angle X-ray scattering (SWAXS), and scanning SWAXS imaging – all in one single instrument.

Take the opportunity to get an introduction to the ForMAX beamline, learn about sample environments and means for sample preparation, and hear out scientists and industrial users share their study experiences from ForMAX. Treesearch members also have the opportunity to discuss ideas for experiments at ForMAX and/or other instruments at MAX IV.

The free seminars are open to all.
