You now have the opportunity to learn about and influence the establishing of a new infrared beamline at MAX IV Laboratory, the Swedish National Synchrotron Facility, during a workshop in Uppsala, 8–9 March 2017.
Some of the things we would like to offer at the new beamline are:
• Scanning-probe two-dimensional chemical imaging, down to 30 nanometer resolution.
• Three-dimensional chemical tomography
• Super-resolution chemical imaging (at the diffraction limit)
• Spectroscopy at extreme conditions, (High pressure GPa and low temperatures 4.2K)
If you are a researcher in any relevant field and is interested in what infrared microscopy can do to extend your knowledge- sign up for the workshop!
Because most of the technicalities associated with the extraction of infrared light at MAX IV have been solved we can focus the workshop on your science and on the specifics of your samples. Inspiring talks by experienced scientists followed by discussions and break-outs in smaller groups will ensure that the development of the scientific case for an infrared beamline at the MAX IV Laboratory fulfils the needs of the Scandinavian research communities.
The workshop is free of charge but seats are limited so please register today! Registration and detailed information: https://indico.maxiv.lu.se/e/IR-WS
The workshop is run in cooperation and parallel with the iBiomat workshop. https://indico.maxiv.lu.se/e/iBiomat
