The Summer School activity is mainly addressed, but not limited to, masters and PhD students. These are week long courses on general methods or specialised topics. It combines theoretical lectures with hands-on experience at the beamlines. The event usually takes place on a dedicated venue. Such set-up offers a valuable opportunity for the participants to mingle and network with other students, lecturers and the beamline scientists.

MAX IV Laboratory has a long tradition in co-organizing the MAX IV Summer School in Synchrotron Radiation. Its purpose is to educate students on the possibilities and advantages offered by MAX IV to its synchrotron light source users. The school has been greatly appreciated by its participants in previous years and we look forward to the upcoming events in the near future.

MAX IV and Aarhus University are organizing a summer school June 6-10 in “Data collection and structure determination in macromolecular crystallography”. The school includes two days of lectures and three days of tutorials with a large number of very competent lecturers that we have invited to Lund.

The school is funded by Novo Nordisk Foundation through the Education and Training Initiative that is part of the MicroMAX grant.
