The solid state end station is not available for the current call for proposals for beamtime.

The solid state end station (SSES) will provide versatile possibilities for the preparation and spectroscopic investigation of solid state materials using surface sensitive experimental techniques. The SSES is designed for experiments with X-ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy (XPS), X-ray Absorption Spectroscopy (XAS) and Auger electron spectroscopy (AES). It will provide imaging (using electron energy analyser) and Photoluminescence (PL) capabilities.

The main equipment in the analysis chamber is a Specs PHOIBOS 150 2D-DLD analyzer. It is an electrostatic hemispherical analyzer with 150 mm mean radius. The analyzer is equipped with a delay line detector.

The SSES is currently installed at FinEstBeAMS and we plan to start commissioning in autumn 2019. Endstation will be available for users earliest in Autumn 2020.
